Our volunteers keep the organization running year-round, applying for necessary permits with NYSDEC and participating in the water sampling program administered by NYSFOLA’s CSLAP program. The LRLA team is made up of people who care deeply about the health of the lake and all its inhabitants.
Our annual dues cover only a portion of the expenses needed to maintain Lower Rhoda Lake. Every dollar raised by our nonprofit goes directly back into preserving the lake and its surrounding environment.
We also hold a 50/50 raffle each summer, with the winner announced at our annual meeting in late August. In addition, we’ve launched a sponsorship program to help offset our growing costs, reaching out to local businesses who wish to support the lake. These sponsors are recognized on our website.
We welcome your involvement—whether by helping plan a fundraising event, offering creative ideas, or contributing in any way to support our mission of protecting and preserving Lower Rhoda Lake. Your participation makes a real difference!
